Our lovely mellow stone 'Gite' lies tranquilly at the eastern end of the main house, and although attached, is completely self-contained with its own small garden and terrace; usually bathed in sun from early morning to late afternoon.

The accommodation is all on the ground floor and comprises a large oak-beamed sitting/dining room with inglenook fireplace; perfect for candlelit dinners, and a fully fitted pine corner kitchen.

Leading off this room are a large shower room/W.C. and two double bedrooms; one with double bed and the other two singles.

French windows lead off the living room onto the lovely colourful terrace and garden where you will find table, chairs, a large sunshade and of course the barbecue! Both the holiday homes at Augié are tiled throughout for easy maintenance. 'The Gite' offers attractive and comfortable accommodation for 1 to 4 people but can also provide an economical holiday for 5 if you don't mind using the sofa bed.

Our magnificent 14 metre (46ft.) south facing swimming pool, shared with 'The Old Barn' is available around the clock and when lit up at night makes a wonderful place to stargaze.

In the pool area, securely fenced for your peace of mind, you will find sun beds, water toys and a shady covered area with table and chairs.

A washing machine and drying facilities are also at your disposal and Richard or Pat, the resident owners can usually be found for advice or information or even booking canoes or a restaurant if needed. ‘The Gite’ is equipped with oil fired central heating as well as a woodstove so is ideal for short or long breaks out of season.

Augié is just a 10 minute drive from junction 57 of the A20 motorway, and approx. 8 hours drive from Calais and the Eurotunnel port. We are ideally situated for the 'low cost' airlines with Rodez (Ryan Air) and Bergerac ( Ryan Air, Flybe ) airports both about an hour and a half away. Toulouse airport ( Easyjet, British Airways, Flybe, Bmi, Air Europa etc ) is just an hour down the motorway and offers regular flights from various parts of the U.K. including London Gatwick. If you are thinking of coming by train then the 'Eurostar' stops at Cahors and Gourdon stations where hire cars are available ( best to book first). For anyone stopping over or flying into Paris the drive down usually takes about 6 hours from the City and just a little longer from Roissy - Charles de Gaulle Airport.
