'The Old Barn', lovingly converted just four years ago, blends tradition with light and colour to make this a beautiful and relaxing holiday home. It lies to the west of the main building, with its own garden and large sunny terrace ideal for enjoying a glass of the local Cahors wine as the sun sets slowly over the distant hills.

Augié enjoys a magical setting amidst 13 acres of fields and woodland where you can wander amongst the wildflowers, even orchids in May and June. Children can roam freely here and everyone can relax and soak up the peace and quiet.

A tiled staircase leads to the second floor which comprises a large family room with two single beds and one double. Here you also have a large ensuite shower room/W.C.

All the rooms are colour co-ordinated and we have tiled throughout for easy maintenance. The 'Old Barn' offers luxury accommodation for up to 8 people with breathtaking views from all the principal rooms as well as the terrace. It also makes a cosy holiday home for 2 or 4 people by shutting off the upper floor.

The Facilities:

Our magnificent 14 metre (46ft.) south facing swimming pool, shared with 'The Gîte' is available around the clock and when lit up at night makes a wonderful place to stargaze.

A washing machine and drying facilities are also at your disposal and Richard and Pat, the resident owners can usually be found for advice or information or even for booking a restaurant if needed. The lovely stone fireplace in the living room boasts a very efficient woodstove so the 'Old Barn' is ideal for an early spring or late autumn holiday.

Augié is just a 10 minute drive from junction 57 of the A20 motorway, and approx. 8 hours drive from Calais and the Eurotunnel port. We are ideally situated for the 'low cost' airlines with Rodez (Ryan Air) and Bergerac ( Ryan Air, Flybe ) airports both about an hour and a half away. Toulouse airport ( Easyjet, British Airways, Flybe, Bmi, Air Europa etc ) is just an hour down the motorway and offers regular flights from various parts of the U.K. including London Gatwick. If you are thinking of coming by train then the 'Eurostar' stops at Cahors station where hire cars are available (best to book first). For anyone stopping over or flying into Paris the drive down usually takes about 6 hours from the City and just a little longer from Roissy - Charles de Gaulle Airport.
